seventeen years behind the chair
Three brands.
After teaching thousands of stylists and taking more education... I realized there wasn't one method that worked for everyone. Eight years later I built Cease & Desist: extension education that hands you the why behind every technique instead of a rigid method to memorize. A toolbox, not hard set rules. And I'm not a brand that stopped doing hair to sell courses. Seventeen years in, I'm still behind the chair every week, still installing, still teaching the way I actually work.
Back in 2016, I stopped doing this the way I'd been told to. I found my niche, rebuilt my whole business around it, and within a year I'd doubled my income and cut my time behind the chair in half, not by grinding harder, but by doing it on my own terms.

I was in the process of learning a previous method and it was okay, lots of detailed work and it just wasn’t clicking in my brain, lots of room for error. Don’t get me wrong there can be error in anything but as soon as I was learning this, everything clicked! It was just in simple words “easy” and game changing!
We switched over all of our guests to c&d and never looked back! Everyone has described it as light weight, feels “not tight in a hurtful way”, they can wear their hair up with out the annoyance of corners peeking out iykyk!! This method is just an 11/10! Easy to understand, makes so much sense and I love how customizable it is for any client. Ani is EXACTLY who she is online so if you like her online, you will love her in person. She is a wonderful educator and funny. 😆 she never made me feel stupid for asking a question and I really enjoyed her teaching style. If you’re wanting to learn a sew in method that isn’t complicated, is safe for your clients and is easy to learn, this is the one.
